Old City Park
The Historical
Village of Dallas. Nestled in 13 wooded
acres just south of downtown Dallas. Old City Park is a living
history museum portraying life in North Texas from 1840-1910. The
museum is composed of 38 historic structures & boasts a working
Civil War era farm, a traditional Jewish
household, elegant Victorian homes, a school, a church & commercial
buildings. There is a charge to use there park for photography.
If you get lucky, you can get a sailboat or a family of
ducks in the background, and from some places, even a view of
Downtown.
Lakeside Drive Park in Highland Park
Always lots of nice color, water for background and low
trees for kids. Plus the huge granite Teddy Bears.
Fort Worth Area
Botanical
Gardens
No admission featuring lots of
beautiful backgrounds on 109 acres of pure beauty. Bridges,
waterfalls, gates, archways, gazebos, ponds, grassy areas, and much more.
One of my favorite locations.
Chandor Gardens
Chandor Gardens captures both the ornate
design of ancient Chinese architecture and the elegance of a formal
English garden. The 3.5-acre estate leads its visitors on a
meandering path of beauty and wonderment. From the 30 ft man-made
waterfall to the various soothing fountains, the Garden has something
new and exciting to offer at every turn.
Conveniently located in Weatherford’s Historic
District, Chandor Gardens is approximately 25 miles west of Fort
Worth. The picturesque setting of the Garden makes it an ideal
location for special events, retreats, conventions, private parties
and especially weddings. The majestic 5600-square ft. mansion is
perfect to accommodate your indoor meeting space needs. Groups of 10
to 125 will enjoy the ambiance and architecture of the home.
Japanese Gardens
A truly beautiful location that
is part of the Botanical Gardens. They do have a nominal charge to use these
gardens for photography but it is spectacular with wooden bridges,
waterfalls, and plenty of lush green.
Water Gardens
Huge water falls and calm pools
make this a very special place. There is no charge to use these
spectacular backdrops.
